The grounding exercise (breathing and relaxing)

This exercises is taken from the book "The Way To Vibrant Health" by Alexander Lowen and Leslie Lowen (Harper & Row - ISBN: 0-06-090542-5)

Lowen says that similar exercises is done by practitioners of T'ai chi. They aim at grounding the individual and giving him a sense of harmony with the universe.

The bow
    Stand with feet about 10" apart toes slightly turned in so as to stretch some of the muscles of the buttocks. Bend forward and touch the floor with fingers of both hands as in figure below. The knees should be slightly bent. No weight should be on the hands. Let the head drop as much as possible.

    Breathe through your mouth easily and deeply. Keep breathing.



    Hold the position for about one-minute.
